- Thanks to everyone who took part in the 2011 FF1GP season.
- We will be back around February 2012, or as soon as the 2012 F1 driver line-up is confirmed.
Welcome!
Imagine owning your own dream Formula 1 team, with the best cars, and the best drivers. Well here you can! Also you can pick the worse team possible, and enter a team that tries to score the least amount of points!
So Ive been generous, Ive given you 32 million pounds to buy your own team. The best drivers and teams cost a lot of money and the not so good drivers and teams, cost a lot less!
When picking your team on the entry form, you must choose two different drivers and two different teams as we dont have two Michael Schumachers available, and also make sure you stay within you 32 million pound budget!
Scoring
How do you score? Its all based on the real qualifying and race results!
First of all, your drivers and teams must finish the race (As classified by the FIA) in order to obtain any points at all.
With your teams you have selected, it is still based on the same scoring system, except only the highest finishing car gets any points.
If your team does well enough, your team may get a place on the Fantasy Formula 1 Podium, or if you do really badly...Well you can find out!
Race points
Depending on where your car finishes, you get the following amount of points. Its the same scoring system as used by the FIA, as set in 2005.
| 1st | 10 points |
| 2nd | 8 points |
| 3rd | 6 points |
| 4th | 5 points |
| 5th | 4 points |
| 6th | 3 points |
| 7th | 2 points |
| 8th | 1 point |
| Any other position | ZERO points! |
Improvement points.
You get one extra point for each position you team or driver moves up the grid. So if your car starts 5th and finishes 2nd, you get a extra 3 points. But if you go back down the grid, (ie if you start in 2nd and finish 5th) you dont get any points, and nor do you lose any. If your team or driver is moved down the grid by the FIA for whatever reason (Such as engine changes), the starting position is taken as the position your qualified in before being moved.
Fastest Lap.
If your driver or team has the fastest lap of the race, you score a 1 extra point.
Qualifying points.
If your driver or team qualifies to start on pole position of the race, you score a 3 extra points. During qualifying, if your driver or team sets a time in the 2nd qualifying session, that is faster than the 1st qualifying time, you will score an extra 2 points.
Hatrick points
If one of your drivers or teams starts off on Pole position, has the fastest lap of the race, and wins the race, you score 3 extra points!
Bonus points
You can obtain extra bonus for predicting each week where your drivers and highest finishing team car finishes each race. In order to be in a chance or obtaining these extra points, you need to enter your prediction for each race. If you do not enter a prediction for each race, you will not score any extra bonus points, but you will still score points from the race. Also you must get your prediction in before the first qualify session.
Bonus points are awarded as follows.
| Correct prediction | 5 points |
| 1 postion away | 3 points |
| 2 positions away | 2 points |
| 3 positions away | 1 points |
| More than 4 positions away | ZERO points! |
Disqualification
If any of your drivers just happens to get disqualified by the FIA for any reason, you lose 5 points! If one of your cars in one your teams get disqualified, you will also lose 5 points, however if both of your cars in one of your teams gets disqualified, you lose 10 points.

We need only one winner! If their is a draw, the overall winner will be decided on who predicts the score of the winner in the driver's championship the closest.
What's this win or lose?
Surely you dont need me to explain this? Ok... I will. You can enter a team that goes out to win, or you can enter a team that just is left standing at the grid each week. Interestingly, in the last few years quite few of the "Want to lose" teams scored more than the "Want to win" teams!
How do I enter?
